Just 50 bucks for the Blinkist app
The ultimate tool for smarter learning that boils down books
of artful sentences and complex concepts
into bite sized bits for my—what?
Imagination? Understanding?
Like a Burger King for the mind.
All in a blink.
As if learning is a drive-through,
something to shortcut, condense, reduce,
like turning a backyard BBQ into a pill
Let’s just get it over with. Gulp!
Check the box.
To Blinkist I reply,
your 70% off sale is lost on me.
I’m not buying any more
fast food, slick slogans, big ideas,
time-saving tips & tricks-
A real clear out until I get to the empty belly of beginner’s mind.
wary of the cheat sheets
waiting to fill me up again.
I resist
The only thing I want in a wink
Is the spark of connection
that cooks an alchemy of ideas,
yours and mine, into a savory brew of ours
We can carry the bowl into the bare branches of the aspen.
Find a crook to settle in and stay a while
listen, ponder, share.
Take turns stirring the pot.
If we stay deep in the day
We may get a Stellar jay surprise
a dash of sapphire wing to
set a flash fire in our hearts
a bit of wonder, a moment to live in.
Gone in a blink.

Lovely poem! An important issue and you lay it out clearly and the ending ties it all together
It kind of reads like a prose poem to me
Have you ever considered formatting your poems that way
Let’s have coffee some morning and talk about THE LINE in poetry
